About The Artist
Bill Tucker's knack for art came in a unique way as he was growing up in the Port Huron, Michigan area. He spent most his childhood years dealing with doctors and hospitals as a result of a birth defect and rheumatoid arthritis. The time spent in bed at home and waiting in doctor's offices was not wasted time. He would always have a paper and pencil in tow and would be seen drawing everything that could be captured on parchment.
As his skills matured into his junior high school years, Bill began teaching the younger students in his school as part of his Art grade. He was always the kid working on the scenery and backdrops for the high school plays and even worked with the Art instructor to develop animated titles and endings for a small film project.
As time progressed, Bill's talents began to be recognized. He was awarded scholarships to the Center for Creative Arts and Wayne State University in Detroit, as well as the Chicago Institute for Interior Design. He worked for years at a commercial sign company as a pictorial artist, eventually opening his own studio, sharing his immense talent with students and organizations.
His keen eye for the realistic art form is demonstrated in the detail and realism of his paintings. His imagination and ability to render it on canvas is his hallmark. Enjoy his works............
